Corrugated Pipe Couplings
Connect ADS and Hancor corrugated polyethylene pipe to PVC and other plastic pipe, or corrugated to corrugated. Flexible couplings from 3″ to 8″, and Strong Back HTRC shielded couplings from 10″ to 60″.
Made for corrugated drainage pipe.
Tie corrugated polyethylene drainage and irrigation lines into sewer, drain or DWV plastic pipe, or join two runs of corrugated pipe. For storm and sub-soil drainage, farm irrigation and residential work.

1070 connects corrugated to plastic. 1071 connects corrugated to corrugated.

1070 and 1071 RC, 3″ to 8″
Flexible couplings with stainless steel clamps, tightened to 60 in-lb. The 1070 connects corrugated pipe to plastic. The 1071 RC connects corrugated to corrugated.
Strong Back HTRC shielded, 10″ to 60″
For gravity flow sewer and storm water systems. High torque clamps, tightened to 120 in-lb, are designed for a greater sealing force on corrugated pipe, and a .012″ thick, 300 series stainless steel shear ring helps keep the pipe in line against shear forces from soil compaction, shifting and settling. Shield clamps tighten to 60 in-lb. The flexible PVC gasket makes 360° contact.

Five steps.
- Loosen the clampsLoosen the stainless steel clamps. Don’t remove them from the coupling.
- Over the corrugated pipeSlide the coupling over the end of the corrugated pipe, getting the corrugation past the rib inside the coupling.
- Insert the spigotInsert the plain spigot end of the PVC pipe into the other end of the coupling.
- TightenTighten the clamps to 60 in-lb. On Strong Back HTRC, tighten the coupling clamps to 120 in-lb and the shield clamps to 60 in-lb.
- Test and backfillPressure test before backfilling or concealing the joint, to a maximum of 4.3 psi. Bed and backfill properly.
Caution: over tightening the clamp on the corrugated pipe end can collapse the pipe wall.
